Introduction
In a land ruled by a corporation, a single monopoly controlling
all of the major industries, hunger and destitution run
rampant. Small businesses are ruthlessly brought down, and
anything that might pose a threat to the corporation is quickly
eliminated. The government is powerless to stop this because
the corporation practically owns it. The people, too, rely
on them, because it is only from Rival that you can get your food,
your gas, and employment.
In the midst of this, several resistances develop, within and
without the employ of the corporation. Usually funded by the
wealthy (who were often employed by Rival), these corporations
stood as the peoples' last, best hope for a better life.
But, systematically, these resistances were shut down with a
shockingly effective brutality until only organizations not funded
by Rival's money remained, organizations that tended not to be
overly effective in the first place.
One of these lesser organizations, comprised only of three
people, however, is about to learn that every giant has a
weakness, and that anything can be achieved with coordination and
planning.
If they can manage not to kill each other first.
The Disjointed Trinity
The Disjointed Trinity (they don't call themselves that) is a
group of three people who have each been hurt by Rival in some way
in the past, and are one of the only groups of people who manage to
get by without them, in their own ways. They live together in
a house in Cor, the unofficial capital and home of Rival
Headquarters, and do whatever they can to hinder the giant business'
progress.
Joshua:
The youngest , found fleeing from the Rival building shortly after
the start of the story. He's generally left out of operations
because he's young; we don't know if he minds or not. He
doesn't really say much, but it's pretty obvious that something's
going on in his head.
Susie: The grenade, Susie has a short temper and a
penchant for weapons. Susie tends to be the most pro-active
member, and the one who's most likely to charge in against
impossible odds. She has a tendency to let everyone know
exactly what she's thinking at any given point, but she keeps some
stuff to herself, too.
Remmy: Perhaps the squarest of the group, and
definitely
the oldest, he's the one who actually pays for the place. He
also tends to be the coolest head, and the one to make decisions in
the heat of things, and the strategist. He participates in
operations from home, usually, contacting Susie through a home-made
comm-device.
