Character Sketch #01: This is one of my medium-early sketches, where I'm starting to challenge my original ideals.  I really don't like the way many of them look, especially Susie.  She looks especially pathetic.  This is one of the only sketches with the cat (in Nicky's lap); I don't know if that'll stay or go.  Generally, though, I think I stayed with Joshua's costume the entire time.  This is one of the first places where I first considered Cricket a character (though I hadn't given him a name yet); before, he was just someone who died in the first strip . . . now he's a major plot point for the future.

President Rival . . . I'm really unsure about him.  He looks too simple.  I don't have my ideas fully developed on him, yet, though . . .

But anyway: Nicky Jordan, Joshua and Susie . . . I don't quite know yet . . . John Cricket, and Aaron Rival.  Pretty damn boring names, but that's never been one of my strong points, in all honesty.

Character Sketch #2: I'm a mite unsure of what inspired me to do this--I suppose I was just trying to think of things that might serve as weapons for Susie, and wanted a cool pose.  Susie's real weapon is not an umbrella--her real weapon doesn't really come into play much, but lemme tell you, she wouldn't use an umbrella.  She's more for commonly-recognized weapons than umbrellas.

I'm far more pleased with the center drawing than the one on the left.  I guess I added Joshua there as an afterthought--he didn't even fit entirely there.  However, I must say I like this costume for Susie a whole lot better than the one in #01.

This is just some more Susie stuff.  Honestly, I'm trying to find a correct style for her.  Although you won't often see her with the expression on the left--she's more the "maniacal grin" kind of person.

Me trying to find a good way to draw Joshua for this.  Frankly, I don't like any of these that much, although the one on top is probably my favorite.  Also, I've gotten to using the "Trinity" t-shirt from the one on the far left . . .

This is basically the original group, the original three.  I was getting sick of drawing Nicky's wheelchair, so I made it head-only.  I think I did fairly well, all things considering, although I wish Joshua looked a bit younger and Nicky looked a mite more masculine, and older.  Although it's much better here than in #1.

I only created Dr. Jennings recently, but she seems memorable already.  ^^;  Naturally, she'll have a big part to do with the roboticization thing.  It took me forever to get an acceptable hairstyle.  She's rather tense and sarcastic, as evidenced by her quote.  We know Pres. Rival by now . . . I still haven't decided what exactly he's going to be like . . .

We have Cricket here again.  He's a huge cynic, and generally pissed off at the world when he speaks; however, since his job doesn't call him to speak often, it's not often displayed beyond a glare or so.  And his job is now going to take up a great deal more of his life than before.  I'm actually trying to get Cricket fairly well developed . . . it all takes time.  Now, Jimmy Johnson is essentially a slimebag--I relate him most to Squealer of "Animal Farm".  He's a very convincing individual with a charismatic smile (I didn't capture it very well) and eyes that can be made sincere on command.  No wonder he's in charge of PR, really.  I don't like him very much.  He's a bit too self-absorbed and uncaring for me.  But there's probably a reason why he's like that, and I'll have to delve into that.

Anyhow, that's all I have for now.  Keep in mind that I developed a number of these characters within the last few hours, so they won't be necessarily complete yet--I'm working on it.

Anyhow, that's all for now with the random concept sketches.
